More about Lynne Brown
Although a qualified Mathematics and Science teacher, while raising her family of three boys, Lynne became disillusioned with the continual symptomatic treatment of illness, especially that of allergies and digestive problems in members of her family and this eventually sent her on a totally new career path.
Her research into natural remedies and getting to the cause of illness culminated in a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition from the International Academy of Nutrition in Australia. She now runs her private nutritional therapy practice, The Orchards Nutrition Centre, from the family farm outside Somerset East in the Eastern Cape.
Being aware of the relationship between good nutrition and optimum health, Lynne incorporates diet, detoxification and supplementation in her treatment regimen, while focussing on the prevention and reversal of chronic, metabolic and degenerative diseases. To reach as many people as possible, she also consults online, gives talks in the Eastern Cape and writes health articles for various newspapers and publications.
Lynne is one of the founding Council members of SAANT and the Regional coordinator for the Eastern Cape. She enjoys community work, is a member of a Management Committee for a Children’s Home as health and nutrition adviser and a Trustee for the Siyakhulisa Trust. On the farm she grows organic vegetables and produces free-range chickens and eggs for friends and family, as a very enjoyable hobby.
